Residential Care

Alexander House is designed to provide individuals with a safe environment in which they can live as independently as possible. Residential care supports those who are finding it more of a challenge to care for themselves within their own home. This type of care also provides the perfect opportunity for individuals to enjoy the social aspects of group living while receiving excellent medical and personal care.

Our purpose-built home provides residents with all they need to live a full and meaningful life. Coupling expert care with five-star facilities allows residents to live a fulfilled and happy life every day.

Defining Residential Care

Residential care typically refers to long-term care delivered to individuals who live in a residential setting rather than in their own home. This type of care supports those struggling with daily life tasks such as personal care, administering medication and mobility. Residential care provides the help and caring environment residents need to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Residential Care FAQs

Residential Care offers full-time accommodation and continuous support for personal and certain medical needs. Nursing Care, on the other hand, is designed for individuals in need of additional care from registered nurses.

At Alexander House Care Home, we consistently monitor and evaluate the individualised care plans of our residents. If their care needs change, we work closely with them and their family to make necessary adjustments to their care plan, ensuring their evolving needs are met.

The services and facilities provided at care homes and nursing homes can vary, but at Alexander House Care Home, residents can expect 24-hour support for medical care and personal wellbeing, housekeeping, laundry services, dining options, a varied activities programme, and a range of facilities including a cinema, café lounge, private garden and more.
